Long Night Festival (Vol. II)

Friends,

Welcome back! I’m so excited to be inviting you to this year’s Winter Solstice/Long Night Festival! The second year in what will one day (fingers crossed) be a world-renowned Portland tradition.

This year, we’ll kick things off around 6:00pm, once again at Madre Linen (a huge thank you to Shay). A reminder that Madre has a small amount of parking, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND uber/lyft.

In order to increase capacity, we’ll have some porta-potties outside. Gentlemen, please use the portapotties. This is a titanic women and children type situation. You go out and brave the cold.

We’ll have light appetizers and plenty of drinks, please plan to eat dinner beforehand.

At 7:30 we’ll have our second rendition of the Winter Solstice Mummer’s play! As a reminder, guests names will be randomly drawn from a massive cowboy hat, and if selected, congrats, you’ll be performing!! I’ve made some slight tweaks to the play script, and this year we’ll do a brief dress rehearsal backstage in order to get things ship shape for the performance.

We’ll also again have guest awards, as follows:

1. Most helpful guest,
2. Guest who traveled the furthest,
3. Best dressed, and
4. Parents choice!

Our charitable cause this year will again be the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC). As a reminder, I’ll be matching 100% of all donations. Please text and/or email me with a donation receipt anytime between now and the party and I’ll count your amount towards our grand total raised :)
